Overview

The Strategic Communications Manager is responsible for helping the company to gain market exposure and enhance market perception through media and influencers.   Responsibilities include writing and managing distribution of press releases, securing earned media opportunities, driving our social strategy, leading analyst relations, managing our company blog, and creating award submissions. The role requires this person to be adept at producing and editing high quality content quickly and accurately.  The Strategic Communications Manager will be a key member of the Corporate Marketing Team, working closely with the rest of Corporate Marketing (Solutions Marketing, Demand Generation, etc) to improve brand awareness and perception.  

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit and manage distribution of press releases.
  • Manage inbound media inquiries.
  • Identify and pitch earned media opportunities for the brand and thought leaders.
  • Lead analyst relations.
  • Manage the social media strategy for the company.
  • Manage the corporate and product blogs.
  • Create award submissions.
  • Partner with HR on employer related initiatives.
  • Track and report on communications program performance.
  • Monitor and manage media mentions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of public relations and/or communications experience
  • 2-4 years of management experience
  • Experience with PR Newswire and media monitoring tools is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of media in our industry is a plus
  • Social Media and blogging platform experience
  • Analyst relations experience is preferred

  • Data-driven decision making
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

 

A Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications or Marketing is required.
